What panic? Heatley Mere proves that consumer confidence remains high (20/06/2008)In just 3 years, 198 properties at Heatley Mere have been snapped up by eager home buyers and now just six homes remain at the idyllic rural site, basking in one of Cheshire's most sought-after postcodes.
Proving that consumer confidence is not as weak as some commentators are suggesting, the award-winning Heatley Mere development in Lymm has enjoyed fantastic sales success in recent months. The remaining four-bedroom homes offer a breathtaking location alongside the Heatley Flash Lake as well as all the advantages of a superior new build finish - which is why they're proving immensely popular with savvy buyers.
Countryside Properties is also upping the anti with its ever popular part exchange scheme and offering to swop a home at Heatley Mere with a buyer's former property at 110% of its market value.
An independent valuation of your home will be given and based on this; Countryside Properties will make an offer that reflects 110% of what it is worth. There are no estate agent fees to pay, making this a cost effective, stress free way to move home, whilst also giving you that extra bit of cash freedom.
And for the more cautious buyer concerned about uncertain mortgage rates, the developer's Assured Value Scheme offers a five year guarantee on the price of your new home.
Countryside Properties is so confident in the investment growth potential of properties at Heatley Mere that it is guaranteeing to reimburse all of the difference, should a homebuyer sell their home at a loss after two years following completion.

Recommend a friend at Heatley Mere and good friends can become good neighbours (21/05/2008)Prompted by Countryside Properties' 'everybody needs good neighbours' campaign, launched earlier this year, Heatley Mere resident Lisa Moran picked up the phone to catch up with old pal Sally State. The friends now live happily as neighbours just doors down from each other at the stunning development in Lymm.
Lisa Moran moved to Heatley Mere with husband Anthony and daughter Kyanna (10) just one year ago, purchasing a spacious four bedroom detached home at the development in the quaint village in Cheshire. When Countryside Properties launched its campaign to encourage its residents to spend time getting to know their neighbours, two teabags were sent out along with a letter to residents asking them to start 2008 on a positive note by inviting their neighbours round for a cuppa and a chat.
Having worked together twenty years ago in Stockport Lisa Moran and Sally State had not seen each other for five years. Lisa commented: "When I received my letter from Countryside Properties I instantly thought of Sally and how long it had been since I saw her. It was a long over due catch up and we soon realised our children went to the same school in Lymm and now she's my neighbour - it's funny how things work out."
Sally continued: "I'd been toying with the idea of upsizing my three bedroom semi detached home in Lymm but I love the area so I knew I didn't want to move far. When I saw where Lisa lived at Heatley Mere I wanted one for myself. It's a beautiful development, in such a lovely location so I thought - why not move here myself?"
Taking advantage of Countryside Properties' Part Exchange scheme, Sally (37) is now the proud owner of a four bedroom town house, overlooking the picturesque Heatley Flash Lake, which she shares with son Jaye (11) and partner Sachin Sharma. She added: "I fell in love with the amazing views at Heatley Mere. The houses are traditional yet contemporary, it's everything I would want in a home with the added bonus of having one of my best friends just a few doors down. Friendly neighbourhoods are the safest to live in, if we all know each other we can all look after each other - even if it's just to borrow a cup of sugar. There's a real community vibe at Heatley Mere and Countryside Properties is a big part of making that happen."
Not only are they neighbours but Sally and Lisa were able to take advantage of Countryside Properties' recommend a friend scheme, whereby if a friend or relative buys a home on any Countryside Properties' development, both the resident and purchaser will receive £1,000 as a thank you - and that's when good friends become good neighbours!
Set in the picturesque surroundings of leafy Lymm, the traditional houses available at Heatley Mere have proved extremely popular amongst home buyers.
Award Winning Site (22/04/2008)Countryside Properties has been awarded for its extremely high standards of building.
Heatley Mere has received a 'Built in Quality Award' for 2008 awarded by the local authority Building Control for recognition of high standards of construction and workmanship on the site.
PUT A SPRING IN YOUR STEP AT HEATLEY MERE (19/02/2008)
Spring is in the air and if you’re a homebuyer now is the chance to let your dreams blossom by taking a look at the brand new show homes at the award-winning Heatley Mere development in Lymm.
Taking inspiration from the latest in fashion and design, these two impressive properties will offer buyers tips for a chic and stylish interior.
The Pintail is a spacious four bedroom semi-detached townhouse spread over three storeys, with breathtaking views over the stunning Heatley Flash Lake. Its interior has been sophisticatedly decorated using varying shades of duck egg and blue to reflect the property’s desirable waterside location. Accents of black and brown provide a striking contrast and feature wallpaper has been used to great effect, immediately giving the home a wow factor. The kitchen in particular makes an instant statement with a glass dining table surrounded by six black leather chairs and a huge circular mirror hung on a brightly coloured wall. Upstairs on the first floor, the living room has been fitted with sofas and a table for rest and relaxation as well as a desk and study area to demonstrate the room’s flexibility.
Afforded a completely different look and feel, the four-bedroom Turnstone property has been revamped to create a warm and inviting environment. Its interior has been designed to give the home a luxurious feel and utilises the Spring 2008 trend of contrasting neutral colours with splashes of bright. In this case, creams and beiges are complimented by shades of chocolate and fuschia pink and this theme is carried all the way through the house with unusual and striking lamps and light fittings giving the property an ultra modern feel. The multi-purpose nature of the fourth bedroom has been emphasised with a sofa bed and desk.
Elaine Gore of Lifestyle Interiors, the Middlewich-based design specialist responsible for the show home transformation, said: “Interior design trends, like fashion, change with the season so it is important to decorate your home with neutral colours that won’t go out of fashion. You can liven these up with the more popular ‘on trend’ colours using flocked or flowered wallpaper on a feature wall or with matching curtains and cushions, and these can be updated more regularly without you having to undergo a complete makeover and break the bank in the process.
“We’ve designed the show homes at Heatley Mere in keeping with this notion to enable home-buyers to see the properties as homes not just houses. We have chosen two very different looks that will give visitors hints and tips as to how to create the looks themselves.”
The distinctly luxurious collection of homes at Heatley Mere has proved a popular choice for homeowners looking to settle in one of the region’s most desirable postcodes.
Newlyweds Calvin and Hayley Wilkinson had a fairytale start to married life after purchasing a four-bedroom home at the development. Calvin, Hayley and two-year old son Louie picked up the keys to their new property the very day they returned from their Spanish wedding.
Calvin said: “We viewed a number of properties in Lymm but weren’t bowled over by anything until we saw Heatley Mere and knew instantly this was where we wanted to raise our family. We were able to part exchange our former house with Countryside Properties, which removed any threat of the sale falling through and meant we could leave the hard work to them whilst we were off enjoying our wedding.”
Hayley continued: “Living at Heatley Mere is everything I had dreamed it would be. The layout is spacious with picturesque surroundings and it’s perfectly placed for local primary schools with just a short walk to Lymm village. It’s also a perfect spot to take romantic walks round Heatley Flash Lake which Calvin and I will take full advantage of on our Sunday afternoons.”
Only a small number of homes remain in the third and final phase of Heatley Mere.
SOMETHING OLD OR SOMETHING NEW? HEATLEY MERE MAY SURPRISE YOU (21/12/2007)Dreaming of a beautiful, big country house with plenty of personality, Nicola Flowers and her partner Rudy had ruled out buying a new build home, believing that it wouldn’t provide the distinctive features that they were looking for. But tempted by an advertisement on a local radio station, the couple visited Heatley Mere, a stylish collection of new homes by Countryside Properties, and instantly fell for its charm.
Just a mile from the centre of leafy Lymm in Cheshire, Heatley Mere offered Rudy and Nicola the rural escape that they desired. Rudy commented: "When Nicola and I were looking to buy a new home, we had assumed that character would only come with age and so looked towards older properties. But when we heard an advertisement on the radio describing the picturesque surroundings of Heatley Mere, we thought we would just pop along and have a look.
"We took a quick drive around the development before going into the showhome and were immediately taken aback by the landscape and by the peace and tranquillity on offer", continued Rudy. "We loved the idea of living close to water and with the Heatley Flash Lake just moments away, the development was perfect. But it wasn't until we had a tour of the showhome that we realised that we had been converted to new build.
"The homes were far nicer than anything else we had seen and when we took into consideration the cost of maintaining an older property, there was no competition - we decided to reserve there on the day - and we're glad we did, they have been snapped up. A deceptively spacious four bedroom mews house, our new home has a traditional cottage-feel to it, yet spread over three storeys and with a high quality contemporary specification, it already has the up-to-date interior that we wanted - something we know would have taken some time and money to achieve in a period property."
The peace and quiet and seemingly slower pace of life in the beautiful village has made it one of the most desirable postcodes in Cheshire. Introducing a distinctly luxurious product to the local market, the development is perfectly positioned for those who want to relax, unwind and enjoy the pleasures of outdoor life.
Every part of this development has been carefully designed to complement its surroundings. Heatley Mere is at the very centre of the rural North West, just a short walk from Lymm village with a handful of traditional shops, pubs and restaurants. Alternatively, Altrincham's cosmopolitan café culture is also close by and with the M56, M62 and M6 all within a three mile radius; it has easy access to the bright lights of Manchester city centre.
The location also benefits from a good choice of local primary schools and a secondary school, and the nearby Trans-Pennine Trail and Bridgewater Canal add the finishing touches to this breathtaking countryside development.
